PERFORMING ARTS

Tuggeranong Arts Centre is set to brighten the gloomiest of winters with a selection of fantastic shows on offer through June and July. From self-devised children’s musical Just Like Clockwork through to Fresh Funk’s urban retelling of Beauty and the Beast and a new instalment in the Twilight Classical Concert Series, there’s sure to be something to cater for all tastes.

INTRODUCING THE TURNER BROWN BAND

Playing for the first time ever in Canberra, only at Tuggeranong Arts Centre!
A Turner Brown Band show is a one of a kind musical explosion of slide guitar infused, gospel-soul, funk-blues tunes that will leave you wanting more.
The band is an Australia/USA musical collaboration between Australian slide guitarist and music producer Dom Turner (Backsliders), and Ohio based ‘Sacred Steel’ vocalist and lap-slide guitar sensation Nikki D Brown.
Catch them for one show only and put a little groove in your soul - limited tickets available.

JUST LIKE CLOCKWORK: A MUSICAL

There’s only a week to go before the curtains rise on Just Like Clockwork, the whimsical and imaginative musical created by local children aged between 7 and 13 working with Tim and Nathalie Bevitt.
Featuring a cast of unicorns, talking pizzas, jumping jellybeans, a moustachioed dinosaur and a sentient fart, Just Like Clockwork is certain to draw a giggle from young ones of all ages, and the young at heart!

FRESH FUNK: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Erindale Theatre

An urban dance remake of Beauty and the Beast by Tuggeranong Arts Centre's Fresh Funk program. This blockbuster show is the end of semester performance for dancers aged 9 years to adult in Fresh Funk's 13 performance program classes.

CONSTANTINA BUSH VISITS THE CAPITAL

For one performance only, catch Kamahi Djordon King's female alter-ego and star of Malthouse Theatre's Blak Cabaret, Constantina Bush!
Constantina has performed alongside some of Australia's leading cabaret artists including Maude Davey and Finucane & Smith! In 2017, Constantina returned to Darwin Festival with a brand new show An Evening with Constantina Bush.
Now, Constantina comes to the Bush Capital with a one-off intimate performance in The Lodge.

ILBIJERRI THEATRE COMPANY: WHICH WAY HOME
