A new European project will implement innovative food processing technologies


The i³-food project aims to implement three novel food processing technologies under industrial conditions, ensuring rapid and maximum market uptake.

i3-food has just started and will have 3 years duration, from 2015 to 2018. The project is supported by the European Commission under the H2020 Framework Program for Research and Technological Development with a total cost of 2.3 M€.

Peter Holl interview

Peter Holl, coordinator of i3-food, explains in this interview the key points of this food tech European project.

i3-food annual meeting was held on 2nd-3rd June at Wageningen

 
During the working sessions the IP for each work package exposed the current status of their tasks and settled the steps to follow on the upcoming months. There were also discussions on management issues to ensure the correct development of work along the following 2 years.

On June 9th, IRTA (one of the main consortium partners of the i3-food project) hosted the conference “Key aspects of food heat treatment” in Monells (Barcelona, Spain).
