*Notice: ICDR Extends Public Comment Period for Draft Government Wide Strategic Plan

The Draft Government Wide Strategic Plan for FY 2017-2020 was published in the Federal Register on October 12, 2016. The ICDR invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on the draft plan and the strategic goals and objectives the ICDR will pursue over the next three years. The draft plan and supplementary materials can be viewed on the ICDR website at http://icdr.acl.gov/content/icdr-seeks-comments-draft-government-wide-strategic-plan.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) (Public Law 113-128) requires the ICDR to develop a comprehensive government wide strategic plan for disability, independent living, and rehabilitation research. The current draft plan is the culmination of a year-long effort to gain consensus on its guiding principles for success and methodologically to produce a document that capitalizes on potential interagency synergies and reflects the priorities of stakeholders.

All responses to the public comment will be summarized and posted on the ICDR website, and all comments will be a matter of public record.

Comments must be received on or before Friday, November 4, 2016.
