April 2016 / Spring
The calendar says it's spring, and the weather in Chicago has felt weird and wintry, so that means we're right on target. The beautiful Purpleleaf Plum tree behind our apartment has burst into full bloom, but the days have been so flat and gray that I haven't been able to take that perfect sunny, celebratory photo of it. Here's a moody gif of it instead. CHICAGO!

Indoors vs. Outdoors
What makes a garden? How do you know one when you see it? Does it have to be outside? These, and other philosophical questions posed about the spaces we cultivate.
Sensing Spring
Spring is pretty magical, and at the end of March, I was feeling the magic. Here are some of my ideas about what makes this season so special.
