Greetings from Balmy Toronto!

 

Yes, it's a crisp 14 degrees Celsius today.  Which by Toronto in February standards is pretty warm, I think it's record breaking.

We have been downsizing, organizing moves and Max Sold online auctions at fever pitch.
These activities inspired our blog this month: "How Professional Organizers Make Senior Downsizing Easier".  It's not easy, but we can make it so much better.

5 Tips for Filing

1. Keep a large supply of manila folders on hand so you can always create a new file. 
2. Use manila folders with all tabs on one side. So it's simple to add or remove a file.
3. Use topic titles that make sense to you so that retrieval is quick and straightforward.
4. Create general topic headings for your hanging file folders that will allow you to group several manila folders inside it. For example, a hanging file folder labelled "Credit Cards" could contain manila folders called "Mastercard," "The Bay," "President's Choice," "Visa," and so on.
5. If necessary, staple pages together.
