Welcome back to our weekly decluttering challenge.
This week it's the Entranceway Declutter
Last time we tackled the linen closet and this week, we're moving on to the entranceway.
Are you exhausted just looking at your entranceway? Or is it just in need of a refresh? Let's tackle 3 problem areas for some quick wins.
Use a timer for each task.
Here are three 15-minute decluttering tasks to get you started:
Task 1: Catch-All Surfaces.
-
Look over your surfaces: a table, a bench, or even the floor. Keep only the items that you truly love or need, such as a vase of flowers or a charging station for electronics.
-
Donate or toss any items that don't fill the bill, like old magazines, junk mail, or broken trinkets.
Task 2: Shoe Pile-up
-
Keep only the ones you wear on a regular basis. Shoes that are out of season should be stored elsewhere.
-
Shoes that are too worn or don't fit should be trashed or donated.
Task 3: Coat Closet
-
In the closet, keep only the coats and accessories that you wear regularly.
-
If it's crowded, consider removing sports equipment or pet supplies to another spot.
Use this guide to help you declutter your entranceway and create a more inviting space to launch from and come home to.

* Challenge yourself to complete all three tasks this week and mark them in your calendar or agenda.*
You'll be amazed at the progress you can make 15 minutes at a time.
