As many of you know, Julie Montagu and I are running a 200-hour teacher training programme together, starting in the new year. The living yoga immersion programme will run from January 2017 until June 2017 and is intended both for those looking to deepen their own yoga practice and those wishing to develop their knowledge and skills to teach.
The practice of yoga allows us to become closer to our true authentic nature through study and self-inquiry. Our bespoke teacher-training syllabus follows this individual and empowering journey, learning and navigating the traditions, tools and techniques of yoga through the lens of personal experience and bringing yoga to life as a diverse and profound support system for self-development and transformation.
Yogic philosophy teaches that our being is composed of five “layers” (“koshas”) comprising the physical, energetic, mental, intellectual and spiritual aspects of the self. Exploring, balancing and nurturing each of these parts sits at the heart of our individual wellbeing, healing and evolution. The training is built around this map as a six-month journey of study and practice comprising two modules (each divided into a week-long intensive and weekend).
Julie and I have worked together for the last five years and are both excited excited to now be offering this unique teacher training programme. The course is already half full and spaces are limited so do let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in joining us. Please head over to the teacher training page for further information on the syllabus, dates and to download the application form. If I can help you with any further questions, please drop me an email – sarah@fivefeathersyoga.com.
