Bethel Men's Shelter
Our Region is scheduled to serve for the remainder of the year on the second Tuesday of each month. Jester is leading in May, and we have some slots filled. However, we need more HIM to sign up to Q, help prepare food, and serve. Please consider serving our community at Bethel this year. Sign up is here.

Good morning brothers, here is the third devotional in Philippians. I am praying that the men in
our region continue to use this time to spur on their relationship with Christ.
For context, see previous post.
As Paul transitions into chapter three, he applies the call to live with Christ’s humility to his own
life. This leads him to say at the end of the chapter, “brothers join in imitating me, and keep
your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us” (Philippians 3:17). Paul modeled what it looks like to follow Christ, putting to death his fleshly desires.
In warning the church of Philippi about Judaizers (Jews that believed that salvation was earned through righteous deeds like circumcision), Paul speaks to his former way of living as futile.
Paul, a former Judaizer himself, took pride in his own righteousness under the law, his Jewish demographics, and his influence in the slaughtering of the early church. However, God wanted to use this sinful man, as he does many of us.

threatened by the virus, Americans flock to the grocery stores in panic, snatching up every
product they might need. Simultaneously, the markets reflect the panic with a 30% drop, the
government dumps $2 trillion into the economy, and the Federal Reserve lowers the target
interest rate to 0-.25%. How can a virus bring a nation – rather the world – to its knees? Read More
