Love Our Neighbor Fundraiser

10/3/2020 7:00:00  We and our families & friends have the opportunity to serve in a different way at Bethel Men's Shelter on Oct. 3. The Shelter hosts a one-day annual Love Our Neighbor BBQ sale to raise community awareness of the homeless population around us, encourage and garner more volunteers, and to raise funds to increase their impact in the lives of the men they serve. Talk to the M's and 2.0's and sign up for an hour slot, or two, or longer. See the preblast here For more information, see: Reborn/Catfish

Iron Pax Challenge Returns!

F3 Greenwood is hosting the Iron Pax Challenge again this year and it's a great way to test yourself each week.  On the following Sundays (8/30, 9/6, 9/13, 9/20), a new workout will be announced on Twitter – @F3IronPax – that is to be completed during the following week. (Written instructions as well as a video will be provided to eliminate any potential inconsistencies/misunderstandings).

After completing the workout, the pax will enter his score at where a weekly ranking and overall ranking leaderboard will be displayed. At the end of September, once all 4 weeks of workouts have been completed, the Pax with the highest cumulative score will be named the 2020 F3Nation IronPax and will be showered with accolades.

Head on over here to get registered and to get more info!

August Word of The Month

August word of the month is Prayer.

Similar to our disclosures before each and every workout, I too want to give a disclosure to this month’s word. I did not choose prayer as my word because I am a professional pray-er. I chose Prayer for three main reasons: 1) I recently took a deep dive study into prayer 2) I believe it is a neglected area of spiritual discipline and 3) I am confident that prayer is the pathway of peace, which is something many need during these abnormal times. Starting off with my second point, how often do you pray? This is something I was challenged with as I picked up the book Prayer, by John Onwuchekwa, a pastor of Cornerstone Church and received his MA from Dallas Theological Seminary. Read More.

Weekly Q Source Topic - CANDOR (Q3.8)

Graciously Telling The Hard Truth And Demanding To Hear It From Others

Only hard Truth requires Candor

Candor is the first of the five F3 Leadership Virtues–the Habits and Ethics of moral excellence that a man must possess to be a Virtuous Leader. The Leadership Virtues are distinct from the Leadership Skills, which are the capabilities of Effective Leadership. A Leader is Effective because he possesses the Skills of Vision, Articulation, Persuasion and Exhortation (VAPE) in sufficient measure that he can Influence Movement to Advantage. However, this says nothing about his character. Only if he is also imbued with the Leadership Virtues can he be called a Virtuous Leader.

Inherent in Candor is a belief in the existence of Truth itself. Truth is a transcendental fundamental or spiritual reality that is self-evident and cognizable without further explanation. It is also immutable, in the sense that it does not change over time. What was true yesterday is true today, and will be for tomorrow evermore. A person might change, but Truth never does. Read More
