[Virtual] Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel with Jane Oneail: Join Nesmith Library on Thursday, October 8th, at 6 PM when we welcome back art historian and educator, Jane Oneail, to guide us through the wonders of the Sistine Chapel. This online program is for ages 16 and up, and registration is required. The Sistine Chapel is one of the most beautiful and most famous works of art in the world. Dive into Michelangelo’s inspiration and process (did he really lie down as he painted the ceiling?) and consider how the masterwork has been altered by time and restoration. Questions? Email Adult Programming Librarian Maria at mschroeter@nesmithlibrary.org.

PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD:
  • We have shared a lot of updates as the situation has evolved in town and in the world. We hope we have reached a lot of our patrons, but we know there are people who use the library who won't see our posts on Facebook, etc. Please call your neighbors, friends, and family who may have missed these updates, and who may benefit from our services and resources. Please encourage them to reach out to us with any questions at all and we will do our best to help!
  • We hope everyone in the community knows that Nesmith librarians are still here to support you, whether it's through exciting programs for all ages on our Event Calendar, grab bags of recommended reading selected by library staff, virtual browsing videos, or digital reading apps you can access with your library card.
Please continue to check our website for resources and updates, or follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Thank you.
