Seed Starting registration filled up quickly, so all of our kits are reserved. BUT we would still love to have anyone who is interested in attending the virtual presentation with Master Gardener Ron Trexler, happening on Thursday, March 18 at 6 PM!

Now Accepting Applications for a Part Time Children's Library Assistant!
Nesmith Library is looking for a service-oriented individual to work 20 hours per week on a set schedule: Monday 3-8 PM, Wednesday 9 AM-4 PM, Thursday 2-6 PM, and Alternating Saturdays 9 AM-4 PM

Primary duties include assisting with development and implementation of all library services of children from infants through 12th grade, in conjunction with Youth Services staff. Help children and parents find materials, create displays and assist with organization of all children’s room projects.

Tween Foodie Challenge [Pick Up]

Do you like food, cooking, and experiments? We'll be providing you with mystery ingredients for you to take home, and using the supplies in your own kitchen, try to create something delicious!

March Preschool Storytime

Reading Anything Great? Submit Book Reviews!
Open to any teens (grades 9-12) in Windham. You do NOT have to be a TAG member to submit book reviews!

Nesmith Library publishes book reviews written by teens on our website! All teens need to do is read a book (it does not have to be a teen book, but should be appropriate for your reading level), write a substantive review, and submit it through our Google Form! You can also follow our reviews on Goodreads.

Spring is right around the corner, and there is no better time to start vegetable seeds!  On Thursday, March 18 at 6 PM during our Seed Starting Zoom presentation, Master Gardener Ron Trexler will guide us through the process of starting seeds indoors. Ron will cover the pros and cons of starting seeds, how to get started, best practices for moisture, fertilization, light and temperature needs, what to grow and how to plan, different types of potting soil, seedling problems, and hardening off your plants. He will also be answering your questions!

Ron Trexler has been a Master Gardener and a member of the Speakers Bureau for a number of years. He is also instrumental is assisting with each new class of Master Gardeners that are taught twice yearly.

[Virtual] An Architectural Tour of the World

Have the itch to travel? Want to see some amazing architecture? Then join us virtually on Thursday, March 25 at 6 PM, when educational entertainer, Martina Mathisen takes us around the globe to discover the fantastic super structures that have stunned the world. Of the one hundred super structures that stand on our planet today, the first fifty took eighty years in total to build. The second fifty have taken just five years! What is happening in architecture today is breathtaking, and just because the pandemic has severely restricted travel, doesn't mean that we have to miss out! Avoid airports, crowds, waiting lists, and standing room only status, and take an architectural tour of the world with us from the comfort of your home.
