The debate about lymph taping replacing compression continues
The latest research paper on using lymph tape to replace compression therapies is the first one to use long waving tapes into the unaffected area. Could this mimicking of how we use MLD be the reason they got such a good result with tape alone?
There is an ALA working group on achieving equity in funding for patients across New Zealand. The group is being led by Yvonne Ferguson and has written to Hon David Clark MP and Minister of Health. The aim is to assist in addressing inequities in funding and garment provision across NZ.
The working group is asking people affected by lymphoedema to send in a letter highlighting their experiences the the minister. Therapists can also support this process, to find out more contact Diane Lacey firstname.lastname@example.org and keep a look out for emails from the Lymphoedema Therapists google group of NZ.
