Dear Partners,
When the heavy heat of summer coincided with the events of the Temple Mount / Haram al-Sharif, and with the law of nationality widening the political rift between Jews and Arabs in Israel, friends asked me, "How do you still believe in shared society?" And I replied, “Just come with me to Givat Haviva any day and you’ll understand.”
It turned out that in mid-July I hosted someone from the United States and this was how his day looked: We began with a tour of the amazing ceramics exhibition at the Art Center. From there we went to see the fifty people who were studying the Arabic language at the Institute. read more...

Children Teaching Children Delegation – Heart to Heart
The seventh Heart to Heart delegation, a leadership group of 20 Jewish and Arab graduates of the Children Teaching Children program, left for Hashomer Hatzair camp in Canada for three weeks earlier this month. The participants went through a preparation process of seven meetings in which they worked on consolidating the group, identities, narratives, and shared living. Their parents participated in two sessions that included getting acquainted, an explanation of the program, and a reflection on the involvement of the parents in the follow-up program.
Role of Partnership Leaders
The leadership is comprised of senior officials in the municipalities and alongside them figures from the community who are able to help expand the activity while bringing residents' voices to the table. These community representatives were chosen by the steering committee of the municipalities to be leading figures who will help advance the partnership.
