Craving Autumn at Rose Hill Farm!
The relentlessly hot and humid weather has left us eager to welcome apple season at Rose Hill Farm. First and foremost, our GingerGold apples are ripe and ready for picking and Paulareds will be ripe soon! Fortunately, our blueberry crop has been fantastic this year and we expect another week or so of prime picking. To beat the heat, we will continue our summer hours through the end of August. Summer hours are Thursday thru Sunday from 8am until 1pm and Saturdays until 4pm.
No time to Pick Your Own? We also have ready picked blueberries and apples available in our Farm Stand cooler, please stop by anytime. For some ideas of what to to with our produce, we suggest two easy "What's Ripe" recipes to get you through the summer, Blueberry Grunt and Apple Squash "Pasta" with Brown Butter Sage Sauce.
Have you tried our pork chops? We have expanded our Farmstand offerings to include our own Rose Hill Farm pastured pork from our Tamworth Oldspot and Berkshire pigs. When you visit Rose Hill Farm to pick blueberries this summer or apples this fall, please check our freezer for your favorite cuts. We have sausage, chops, ribs, tenderloins, small hams and roasts available now. We are also taking pre-orders quarter and half pork shares that will be available this October. Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to request details.
Please reach out with any questions, comments or suggestions - we would love to hear from you and look forward to meeting you at the farm soon!
