Who are LifeBridgers?

We want you to know the people we feel so blessed to serve alongside of. We think LifeBridgers are pretty awesome and the best part is how unique each person's story is. So, we want to spend a little time each month telling you about them.
LifeBridgers are all about connecting and community. If I have learned one thing about expats it's that they are quick to make friends. I was having a conversation with someone we had just met and she made the comment "you have to take the friends you can get". The expat life can be a lonely life, so whether just arriving in Panama or even those here for awhile, expats are quick to be open and make the most of time with other people.

Hey, we all want friends and people to do stuff with and in general, the expat community is just really open about that.  In light of this, most Sundays a groups enjoys lunch together in the mall. This past Sunday we ate at the new Olive Garden (you may think Olive Garden is old news, but here, the American chain just opened and it's all the rage).

🎉Two Years 🎉

2 years! May marked our Panaversary. In some ways, it's hard to believe we have been here in Panama for two years. There are days that feel like it's hard to see progress, but to look back on the past two years we are blown away at what God is doing here and we feel honored to be a part of it.

We were grateful to connect with some of you while we were in the States at the beginning of May, but want each of you to know how much we appreciate your prayers, support and encouragement for what we do.

Discipleship is at the heart of what we are all about personally and at LifeBridge. So much so that discipleship is one of our three focus areas for this year. Over the past couple of months we have personally been able to disciple individuals and small groups (triads). It is our hope that after meeting in these triads those individuals will be equipped and ready to start their own triad.

We continue to see discipleship happen in bible studies, life groups and beyond. It is exciting to see how impactful this intentional, small, intimate way of doing discipleship can be.

You can be praying for the discipleship at LifeBridge. Pray for those who are new to the faith and for those who are now ready to be the discipler. Pray that the impact would go with those who are moving to new countries, and that they would make an impact in their new city.

In each newsletter we will share a tid-bit about Panamanian life. Something unique, interesting or fun.
May was a significant month in Panama.  May 5 was election day, so within the next 2 two months the previous President will finish his term and on July 1, a new President will take office. Through the campaigns we were able to learn more about Panamanian politics and it created an opportunity to have interesting conversations with Panamanians, as most elections do.

The current political situation here is stable and Panamanians (and expats) are grateful that despite chaos in some of our surrounding countries, we experience peace.

Curious about life in Panama? What questions do you have for us? Let us know, we would love to share about topics that interest you about our country.

Praise & Prayer

We deeply appreciate your prayers for us and LifeBridge.

  • Praise for recent decisions of faith and new believers getting connected at LifeBridge.
  • Pray for our Leadership Team, as some members are transitioning and moving. Pray that new people would come and step up into leadership roles.
  • Pray for our first women's retreat (June 21-23). Pray that each woman who attends would grow in their faith.
  • Pray that Nate and Jendi would have wisdom, patience and seek the Lord as we plan for the future.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
