Life Change

This month we had baptisms. Now, at LifeBridge baptisms always look a little different. We meet in a movie theatre, so it's not possible to do baptisms during our service. This time, we did a bbq and baptisms after church at our house.  One of our neighbors let us use their pool, so it made for a great afternoon of fellowship.

Several months ago in the newsletter, we introduced Frantze and Michael. They have now been at LifeBridge for just over a year and decided to get baptized as a couple. They were both able to share their testimony during church, which was an encouragement to everyone.

We were excited to celebrate with them and are excited to see how the Lord will work in their lives.

Back to School

March means back to school here in Panama. As Panamanian summer comes to an end, kids will start a new school year. We wanted to help our friends at Casa Hogar Mi Milagro Orphanage start their year off well, so LifeBridge collected and donated school supplies and then threw them a back to school party.

We enjoyed playing games together, providing lunch and just talking and getting to know the kids who call Casa Hogar Mi Milagro home.  The day we were there the orphanage was without water AND electricity, however, that didn't affect our day. It's easy to forget what little is needed to show someone love. It's not the place or what you have, but more the time you give them.

Neighborhood Happenings

We love telling you the stories about people at LifeBridge and keeping you informed about what we are doing and where we are going as a church, but there are also other ministry opportunities going on all around us.

A little over six months ago some friends of ours opened a new coffee shop in our neighborhood. Called Madera (wood in spanish) it sits right next to a wood shop where you can watch the carpenters craft new creations.

In the short time it's been there is has hosted International Pastor gatherings, Bible studies, and on any random morning you can be there and meet someone who just needs prayer.

We are grateful for our friends Jose, Javier and Carolina who own the cafe and who have created this kind of space in our neighborhood.

In each newsletter we will share an interesting aspect of life in Panama or current event.
Holiday time...again! Just when it feels like things have returned to normal after the Christmas holiday comes Carnaval. Which generally, means everyone goes into vacation mode. Although not everyone takes part in the  festivities, life comes to a halt for these few days. We do enjoy things getting quiet...and no traffic!

Praise & Prayer

We deeply appreciate your prayers for us and LifeBridge.

  • Praise for our recent baptism. Not only were two people baptised, but two others came forward wanting to be baptised next time!
  • Pray for our upcoming Leadership Link Conference (March 6 and 7). A mini retreat/training day for people to be encouraged and equipped.
  • Pray for families. This year, we are placing a renewed emphasis on our kids program with the hope of reaching more families. Pray families would find a home at LifeBridge.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
