With harsh covid restrictions lifting,  we are starting to meet in person for events.  On Saturday, April 10th, we gathered for Prayer in the Park, a time for the LifeBridge community to pray and be together.

“No man is greater than his prayer life. No church is greater than their commitment to prayer.”

LifeBridge Studio

As we have been sharing with you since December, we were looking into a new space where we could live stream our service and also offer in-person options for our LifeBridge community.  It has taken a bit longer than we thought, but in the end we were able to obtain a better space than we thought. The space needed a little work, but we should be able to start using it this month!

A group of LifeBridgers helped with the demolition to open up the space and make it suitable for our needs.

A Year Later:
What is the situation in Panama?

Many of you have asked what things are like now in Panama. Over the last year we have been though very strict lockdowns multiple times.  As of now, Panama is open, except for a night time curfew from 11pm-4am. The vaccine arrived and the government has a process for getting the population vaccinated. However, many things are very slow to start moving again. Schools are just now beginning to open and large gatherings are not happening.

We are beginning to see the aftermath of what months and months of lockdown can do. Last week we drove through a part of the city that was poor before, but the level of poverty is much more pronounced than before.

Our community was very transient before covid and during the pandemic this didn't change.  We continued to see people leave, probably more than would have in a 'typical' year. However, we saw new people arrive as well and hope to see more new faces arrive as the country continues open.

Our Little Panamanian

Reagan is two months old now. She loves being outside (our Panamanian totally embraces the humidity) and moving (in the hammock, swing, or with mom and dad). We are so grateful for the warm wishes and encouragement from you as we welcomed Reagan.

Praise & Prayer

We deeply appreciate your prayers for us and LifeBridge.

  • Praise! We have the studio space. We are eager to see what the future holds and how this space can provide new opportunities.
  • Praise and Prayer: LifeBridge community. We are grateful to be able to gather in some ways but would ask for continued prayer for wisdom as we look to utilize our studio space and have a balance of online and in-person activity.
  • Pray for Reagan's paperwork. We first need to obtain some Panamanian documents and then have an appointment with the US embassy on April 27th. Pray we get all we need in time and for a smooth process with both governments.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
