Last week we had the blessing of attending the International Baptist Convention (IBC) annual meeting and Multiply Church Planting Conference in San Jose, Costa Rica. These meetings bought together pastors and their wives from all over the world who lead international, English-speaking congregations. Conversing with people who are doing the same type of ministry that we will be doing in Panama was so encouraging for us.
Some highlights from the week:
- Unity with the IBC family. Learning and working alongside of seasoned pastors, church planters, and people that have been doing international ministry for decades made us eager for the work that is ahead.
- Meeting the Interim pastor of LifeBridge. The IBC has put in place an interim/transition pastor at LifeBrige to serve until we get there. Meeting John and Lucy Helvestons, who after leading church for 25 years now serve in the interim in churches that are in transition, was such a blessing. They serve sacrificially and have been a source of encouragement to us and the entire LifeBridge community.
