Who are LifeBridgers?

We want you to know the people we feels so blessed to serve alongside of. We think LifeBridgers are pretty awesome and the best part is how unique each person's story is. So, we want to spend a little time each month telling you about them. Although we are an English-speaking church, English is not the first language of many LifeBridgers.

Meet Samuel and Heidi.  They are a Peruvian couple and have been living in Panama for over two years.  They moved to Panama for Heidi's job at Nestle.  After attending a Spanish-speaking church for awhile they felt called to find a new church and not just any church, but specifically an English-speaking church.  So, why would a Peruvian, Spanish-speaking couple look to attend and English-speaking church?  Because they wanted to be able to invite their co-workers to church and since most of their coworkers are international and english-speaking, they knew that they had to find a church that would be inviting to their coworkers.  Isn't this incredible? They are willing to attend a church in both of their second language, just so they can invite those who don't have a relationship with Jesus yet.

Since starting to attend they have become part of our Worship team and Welcome team.Samuel and Heidi are such an inspiration to us and we are so excited to see how God will use them to impact those around them.

Opportunities for Connection

We continue to see a deep desire for connection and community.  We continue to have Second Saturday brunches. It has been great to see this monthly activity take off. We have now had different families host each one, enabling us to have it in a different part of the city each time. Each time we see 20-25 people and many are inviting friends and coworkers. It's been a great connection point for those who have not attended LifeBridge on a Sunday morning.

We also continue to encourage life outside of Sunday and our typical activities. A group of us enjoyed a hike to Ancon Hill on a Sunday evening. A great way to spend time together and get a great view of our beautiful city!
In each newsletter we will share a tid-bit about Panamanian life. Something unique, interesting or fun.

The Panama City skyline is incredible.  Sitting right on the water, it's buildings are striking. Many unique and different shaped buildings give it a look unique to this city alone.  Although Panama City is not a very large city it has 52 skyscrapers.  Enough to place it as #22 on the list of cities with the most skyscrapers.

Curious about life in Panama? What questions of you have for us? Let us know, we would love to share about topics that interest you about our country.
