Sundays at LifeBridge

With many Expatriates leaving Panama during the holidays to go 'home' to visit family, life at LifeBridge slows down. However, that makes the January kickoff even more significant as people are not only starting a new year, but returning from long trips.

January kicked off a new ministry year and with that we kicked off a sermon series called 'New Year, New You' centered around the truth that only Christ can make you new. A great way to start of the year by recalling that it's not the new year or great vacation that make us new, but belonging to Christ and recognizing it's only through Him that we can truly be new.

Women Encouraging Women

A women's group started this month and there is much excitement about the group and the community it has created. It's a group that focuses on getting fit with God so that He can free you to complete your purpose. When we get fit physically as well as spiritually, we will be better equipped to love and serve others.

What is most exciting to me about this group is who is leading it, and it's not me ;). Allison, has a passion for fitness but more importantly, helping women see that their value is only found in Christ. It is exciting to see her use her passion and be a leader.

Married People

Last year, we walked with some couples through some very difficult circumstances. We always count it a privilege to walk with people whether the situation is hard or easy, but one thing that became evident early last year was that married people needed community.

It can be hard when couples move to a new country. Marriage is hard and the add stresses of international living can make it feel more difficult, and lonely. So, Married People (yes, that is what we call the group) started in September as a way for couples to start to get to know each other. The group is gathering during the last Sunday of the month and we are excited about where this is headed as we now have couples who want to start Bible Studies and do more together. AND we have not only seen this group come together, but we have seen in transcend in other parts of the church as well.

In each newsletter we will share a something going on in our lives, a recommendation or just a personal tid-bit.

We enjoyed a visit from some of our previous "students". Julia and Morgan were both part of the youth ministry at Grace Point, though years apart and they both came to visit us at the same time this January. It was so fun to have the past 10+ years of ministry come together for that week.  Lot of fun memories (had and remembered) for sure!

Praise & Prayer

We deeply appreciate your prayers for us and LifeBridge.

  • Praise for a great start to the new year. There is always so much energy as people return and are excited about the new year.
  • Pray for our baptism (Feb.16) and Orphanage Back to School event (Feb. 29).
  • Pray for families. This year, we are placing a renewed emphasis on our kids program with the hope of reaching more families. Pray families would find a home at LifeBridge.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
