Traveling outside the U.S.?

If you are planning to travel outside the U.S., you may now request a travel endorsement appointment up to 60 days in advance. When you come to our office for your appointment, remember to bring your passport, visa, I-94 and travel letter from your department.

Spring is in the air... and so is pollen!

The thick, yellow dust you see covering everything the last few weeks is called pollen. Pollen is an allergen, and Augusta (ranking at number 27) is among the top 100 worst cities to live for people with allergies, according to Life Science

In the spring, pollen comes from the indigenous oak, birch and pine trees and may last up to 6 weeks between the months of March and May. But, as you can see, pollen came early this year! If you are sneezing, have watery eyes or even a slight cough, pollen is most likely the cause. 

There is some good news though. Pollen is responsible for producing some of the richest and most beautiful plants and flowers you’ll see in Augusta. In fact, Augusta is nicknamed The Garden City. To find out more about pollen visit

Fee increase for J-2 EAD applications

The filing fee for Form I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization) increased to $410 on December 23, 2016. Be sure to use the latest version of the form.

Deadline for filing taxes

Augusta welcomes Masters Golf Tournament (April 3-9)

The Masters, a golf tournament famous all over the world, lures thousands of tourists from across the globe to Augusta each year. Restaurants and hotels in the area will be busy, and you will see an increase in traffic, especially on Washington Road. Take extra caution and be patient during Masters Week. 

Here’s a little trivia: If you have tickets to the Masters count yourself among the lucky! According to Golf Advisor (April 2014)“Masters might be the second-most difficult tickets to obtain in all of sports behind the Super Bowl”!
