Author Spotlight – Hikmat Kashouh

Hikmat Kashouh and his wife, Krista

Hikmat Kashouh grew up during the 16-year Lebanese civil war, all too familiar with the tragic realities of conflict, Syrian occupation, and displacement. His life changed forever when his father’s friend led him to Jesus. Hikmat was called to ministry and studied theology, earning a PhD in Textual Criticism at Birmingham University, UK. Upon returning to Beirut, he began to Pastor Hadath Baptist Church (now Resurrection Church Beirut).

As Resurrection Church has grown Hikmat has set the example to forgive taking "the bold step of obeying our saviour to serve those who had persecuted us” and welcomed Syrian refugees to be part of their church.

Read the rest of the author spotlight on Pastor Hikmat.

Following Jesus in Turbulent Times
Pastor Hikmat has written Following Jesus in Turbulent Times, sharing the “miraculous story of transformation” at Resurrection Church Beirut, and hopes it will encourage others to be proactive in serving their communities, especially those of different backgrounds.
