Sprague Brook Meet - Results available

We had wonderful weather for the Sprague Brook meet this past Saturday, sunshine and pleasant temperatures with a bit of a breeze.  Great orienteering weather.  The results are posted on the club website so you can check the final standings.  Additionally, the participants all received a certificate from the International Olympic Committee for participating in an official Olympic Day event.

Guided Map Hikes Start July 6th

The club offers map hikes in six area parks allowing you to go orienteering whenever you prefer for whatever time frame you prefer. If you would like to feel more confident traveling the trails in our beautiful Western New York parks or if you'd like a challenge the map hikes might be for you. Our Guided Map Hike Series is a way to get out on the trails finding some controls with an instructor to help you learn better orienteering skills. The Guided Map Hike Series runs in Chestnut Ridge Park  Thursdays from July 6 to July 27. Meet at the Casino by the main parking lot and be ready to start hiking at 6:00 pm.

Chestnut Ridge Trail Run, July 13th

Open Board Meeting, Friday July 21st

Join us in Chestnut Ridge Park on Friday, July 21st at 6:00 pm for a board meeting and picnic.  The plan is to meet at shelter #21 inside the Newton Rd. entrance.  If you would like to see what the club has been working on this season this is a great opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at what it takes to keep our club active.  Perhaps you may even find an area you'd like to get involved in to help keep the club moving forward.  The club will provide hot dogs and we ask that you bring a dish to pass. If you prefer a veggie burger please let Rob know when you RSVP by email or phone at  (716) 930-1821. An RSVP is appreciated so we know how many people to expect.
