Alexis Krauss is the frontwoman of the Brooklyn-based noise pop duo Sleigh Bells, which just released their fourth album, Jessica Rabbit, on Friday. If you need something loud and wild and ferocious to listen to right now, I highly recommend it. Alexis is also passionate about making sure the stuff we put on our skin isn’t filled with a bunch of toxic chemicals, and runs the site Beauty Lies Truth, which gives intel about safe/natural beauty products.

Some things Alexis loves:
"True Moringa is an amazing line of non-toxic and ethical skincare products. My favorite is their Moringa and Lemongrass body oil. I've had the privilege of working with their founder Emily on a product Beauty Lies Truth recently launched in partnership with Global Mamas called Global Beauty Butter. Emily cares not just about making quality products but about changing the lives of the farmers that grow and harvest the Moringa trees."
"I've been wearing Lyz Olko’s clothes for years now. I love how simple and tough her work is. Her newest label emphasizes sustainable methods of production and recycled materials. She's just an all around badass and inspiring woman."
"The Frightnrs recently released an album on Daptone Records called Nothing More To Say and I listen to it pretty obsessively. My fiance turned me onto them after meeting the lead singer/songwriter Dan Klein several months ago before he passed away from ALS. His songs mix rocksteady, reggae and dancehall in a really beautiful and melancholy way. This album brings me to tears but also makes me feel euphoric. It's music at its best."
"Alameda is my favorite restaurant in NYC. The chef, Nick Padilla, creates thoughtful seasonal menus from the best of our local fish, meat and produce. It's the most delicious and least pretentious food you'll ever eat. The atmosphere is lovely and the cocktails are some of the best in Brooklyn."

If you're like me, all you want to do right now is bundle yourself up in something warm & cozy and stay there forever. And if you're like me, you'll probably want to put this chic, oversized "RIa" scarf from Cienne on your holiday wish-list (or just buy it for yourself, which I'm about to do after obsessing over it for weeks). The cool black & white pattern drew me in, but I dig that Cienne partners with artisans around the world on cool textiles (in this case, hand-woven cotton from India) but makes their clothes in NYC's garment district. Happy bundling. —Marina
