Katie O'Brien is a comedian and actress who is one of the stars, creators and writers of the hit comedy series Teachers on TV Land. The show revolves around a group of elementary school teachers who are trying to mold the minds of America’s youth, but don’t have their own lives all. Katie hails from Omaha but now lives in LA, where she's always talking about how much she'd love to own a bakery someday despite her inability to bake. She also knows every line to all of Christopher Guest's movies.
Some things Katie loves:
"Sturgill Simpson's album, A Sailor's Guide to Earth. I've been obsessively listening to it on repeat, but ‘Welcome to Earth Pollywog’ and his cover of Nirvana's ‘In Bloom’ are two of my faves!"
"Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. A friend recently turned me on to micellar cleansing water and now I'm hooked. What is it? Glad you asked. Micellar water is made up of tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules. It's an effective makeup remover, but it also helps keep skin hydrated and clear. You can pick it up at any drug store."
"I'm short, so I've always avoided high-rise jeans because I think they make me look stumpy, but I recently tried on Citizen of Humanity's high rise crop jeans and I am in love! They're so cute on, can easily be dressed up or down, and they're super comfortable. I wear them, like, everyday...they're that great!"
"Love on Netflix. Go and binge watch season 1 right now because season 2 is coming out this month and I legit cannot wait. Love follows the budding relationship between Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) and Gus (Paul Rust). The show's funny, but it also tackles addiction issues as Mickey struggles to stay sober and it will make you wonder if you have your own addiction issues because you won't be able to stop watching."

Heads up: no Undrrated next week because I'll be away (but there's another fun one coming up after!) Heading to my favorite place in the world, the Rockhouse in Negril, Jamaica, for the fifth (!) time. When it comes to warm-weather getaways, there's just nowhere better. You stay in a villa on a cliff at the edge of the world, and there's no sand! (Not a fan of the stuff.) The guys there say on your fifth visit, you officially become a "Jamerican." Ya mon. I'll be the one hiding from the sun with a Jerk Bloody Mary, reading something good. OK, what should I read? Write back with suggestions: not too mindless or too heavy please (and tell me your fav vacation spots while you're at it). Can't wait to hear!  —Marina
