Becca Parrish is the owner of BECCA PR and the go-to collaborator for top restaurateurs like Eric Ripert (Le Bernardin, Sugarfish), Top Chef’s Tom Colicchio and April Bloomfield (The Spotted Pig). A Florida panhandle native, she’s the proud mom of a “trencherman” and she, too, lives to eat. Becca reps the quirky food-focused podcast Prince Street, and is partial to the guests' “Madeleine Moments” (inspired by Proust, it’s a term for a food memory so powerful, you’re pulled right back to when you first tasted something). Her own moment: “Raw oysters, with an embarrassingly close second of Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies.”

Some things Becca loves:
"The Catskills. I keep falling harder for this magical woodsy wonderland: smoky lakes, cool artists, neon newts, endless sky and wide open spaces. It’s a place full of discoveries, and after nearly 20 years in the city, connecting with nature, friends & family and fresh air = priceless. There is a fantastic restaurant called The Heron…you can sit outside and watch all kinds of nature: herons, turtles, fish jumping. The food is fantastic…they make a mean pimento cheese! And I'm kinda obsessed with this t-shirt they have, which has a map of the Catskills inside a heron. Also One Grand Books is a really cool bookstore in Narrowsburgh…fantastic selection, cool vibe."
"Hayao Miyazaki is the genius director of great animated films including My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and Kiki’s Delivery Service. His films usually feature young female characters as the lead, and nature plays a vital role as well. It’s inventive, thoughtful and wholly original moviemaking…perhaps geared toward children but equally delightful for anyone young at heart."
"I cannot visit LA with a stop at Tortoise on La Brea. Everything here for the home kitchen and cook is so stylish, so perfect, so Japanese. Their beautifully designed and always changing tenugui make the best cloth napkins (for yourself or a gift) or nappy necktie for a bottle of wine."
"Mai at Bumble & Bumble is the most professional, talented and cool hair colorist I’ve even known, and I’ve tried every name in town. She literally changed my life by encouraging me to do less and embrace my natural color more. The result: found time, $$, and an appreciation for those greys I’ve earned."

I'm pretty minimal (and particular) when it comes to jewelry, and almost never wear bracelets because most fall off or roll around uncomfortably on my wrist. So when I fell in love with—and subsequently lost—this & Other Stories "Snakey" cuff, I was relieved that the SoHo store still had a few left (I wear the silver version, but you can get the gold online). I like that it's adjustable (no falling off!) and that the texture makes it look more expensive than it is $25(!). I always get compliments on it. Highly recommend. Marina
