Ladies Who Brunch: Founders' Day Celebration
CIAPA members gathered at Americana in Des Moines Saturday, April 2 to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the group’s establishment. MaryKay Gillam, Alpha Chi Omega, served as President of the Des Moines Alumnae Panhellenic Association in the 1990s and said, “The Panhellenic spirit has meant a lifelong connection for the enhancement of women. That's why I’ve been active in Panhellenic organizations since college.”
Thank you to everyone who has served on the CIAPA board, volunteered on committees, and attended social and service events over the past year. Your participation is appreciated and plays an important role in representing the NPC to the fraternal and greater world.

CIAPA at ISU Greek Visit Weekend
CIAPA President Barb Cannon (Alpha Phi, at right) and Pi Beta Phi Delegate Rosemary Sheeler (at left)represented CIAPA at Iowa State University’s Sisterhood Soiree Friday, April 8. The event, a component of Greek Visit Weekend, offered an opportunity for high-school seniors and parents to mingle with collegiate women and learn more about organizations including NPC sororities on the ISU campus. Barb and Rosemary addressed the group by recounting favorite memories, explaining how their Greek experiences helped them in life after college, and why they’re involved with Greek and Panhellenic activities today.
Celebrating Sorority Advisors and Volunteers
April is Advisor Appreciation Month. The NPC recognizes and appreciates everyone who advises, guides, and supports collegiate chapters. Many women throughout Central Iowa are advisors and members of housing boards for local chapters, as well as hold positions at the national/international level for their respective sororities. The CIAPA thanks you for your commitment to advancing the sorority experience through your volunteer service.
