Dear SNADers,
Since this is the last Newsletter of the year, I thought I’d go off script a bit and make this one short and sweet. With so much going on as we immerse ourselves in the Holidays, brevity, in this case, might be the gift you wanted but never dreamed of getting!
The main point of this Newsletter is to wish you all the very best that the end of the year and 2023 have to offer. On behalf of the Board, Advisory Board, and Staff, we all hope that this Holiday Season brings you closer to family and friends, finds you surrounded by love and laughter, and allows for plenty of time to stitch. When we reunite in January, maybe you will consider joining us on-site for one of our Focus Sessions, courses that focus on a particular theme. Regardless of whether you travel from overseas, across the country, or just over the Bay Bridge, if you are a stitcher who wants to mix learning with socializing, these are designed just for you. Try a new technique, reach outside your comfort zone, or simply stop by SFSNAD and say hello in between some fun, San Francisco centric, cultural events this spring.
In this issue:
- Membership has its Perks! You can give the gift of a SFSNAD Membership to all of the many stitchers in your life! It couldn’t be easier than clicking here.
- It’s better to Give than to Receive - at least that’s what my parents taught me! Our End of Year Fundraising Goal is $40,000 - allowing us to expand our Wellness Program into the SF Unified School District and beyond. If you can help, we’d sure appreciate it. Thanks to your generosity so far, we have $28,000 to go!
- Only Days Away! Our first annual Fantastic Fiber Fair will debut on December 3 with work from 20+ artisans and creatives working with, you guessed it, FIBER!
- Winter Break: SFSNAD offices will be closed on December 6th for a Staff Retreat and December 23 - January 2. We will reopen on January 3, 2023. Happy New Year!!
As always, thanks for stitching with us!
