This is the biggest weekend yet - films, murals, vendors and birthday cake too! Here's what to expect on Friday and Saturday:

AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM IN PHILADELPHIA (701 ARCH ST)

Join us at the African American Museum in Philadelphia for a Friday night celebrating our Historically Black Colleges and Universities! 

Featuring films by Davelle Barnes, Lex Dime, Christian Jones and Stanley Nelson and various Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Even if you didn't attend an HBCU, Join us. Come for Some or All!

Inside and Outside ART SANCTUARY - Bainbridge St - between 16th & 17th

In and outside of the Art Sanctuary Gallery: Festival Block Party! Celebrate Black Art, Art Sanctuary's 20th Birthday AND the dedication of the murals that will grace our headquarters!

Featuring performances from some of Philly’s most electric acts, food, vending, art, dancing, HBCU Strolls – it all comes together with a bang!

The mural dedication is in partnership with Mural Arts Philadelphia, featuring the work of Ernel Martinez and hosted by Radio One's (100.3 FM) Dyana Williams!

DO YOU HEAR WHAT I SEE? 
NOW THROUGH JULY 31ST
ART SANCTUARY GALLERY (628 S 16TH ST)

The centerpiece of the 34th Celebration of Black Arts Festival is the month-long exhibition "Do You Hear What I See?", featuring rarely seen photographs of black music icons from by photographer Ron St. Clair.

The showcase will include several candid photos of some of the most influential musicians in the 20th century, including Berry Gordon, Duke Ellington, Harry Belafonte, Patti LaBelle, just to name a few; and each piece will be available to purchase throughout the duration of the exhibition.
