Happy (Donor) Thanksgiving!!

We want to thank all of you who help us bring black art to the communities in our city that need it, and share a bit about what your donations help us achieve.

Art Sanctuary is thankful for every single penny from our donors, and hope our programming continues to make them proud of their investments.

SIDE NOTE: ART SANCTUARY'S FISCAL YEAR BEGINS EACH JULY, SO OUR THANK YOUs START THEN!
ART SANCTUARY DONATIONS
(JULY 2017—NOVEMBER 2018)
ALL THE FIXIN'S ($100,000 AND ABOVE)
This generous donation from one of our most ardent foundational supporters has made it possible for us to deliver over 2,500 hours of quality arts education to youth in North and South Philadelphia through our North Stars program.
The William Penn Foundation
SWEET POTATO PIE...AND PUMPKIN TOO
($25,000—$99,999)
These generous donations from our pie crowd are too sweet to pass up on acknowledging! We can't express our gratefulness for their support, which enables us to host the Celebration of Black Arts Festival, exhibition program in our gallery, take arts to youth where they live, and much needed general operating support, without which Art Sanctuary wouldn't be Art Sanctuary.
G. Edward and Addie W. Dickerson Trust
The Barra Foundation
Samuel S. Fels Fund
Handleman Foundation Trust
Philadelphia Foundation
STUFFING WITH GRAVY
($1,000—$24,999)
Just as stuffing fills your yearning for a savory starch that baked macaroni and cheese leaves, the gifts from these generous donors allow Art Sanctuary to host enriching Saturday sessions for our North Stars, introduce our young students to African and African-American storytellers, and tell our story in the community.

COLLARD GREENS
(UP TO $999)
As any cook worth their weight in salt (or sugar) will tell you, a Thanksgiving meal is nearly
worthless without a side of collard greens. They encourage you to keep your energy up for the
second NFL game, third plate, and desserts!

Our "Collard Greens" donors encourage us to keep our work going—from their presence in our gallery and other events, to their consistent social media and financial support, we could not do our work without them. Thank You Everyday!!

ALL THE MEATS
(ALL OF OUR ART SANC WORKERS!)
Whether you prefer turkey or ham, and if you avoid or pile on the cranberry sauce, one thing is non-negotiable: Thanksgiving meats require serious work! They fill up your plate, and take serious stove time for the master chefs. It's a fact—no Thanksgiving meal has begun until a meat is carved!

Donor Thanksgiving would be remiss without recognizing the workers who donated their time, love, and resources to Art Sanctuary! From the countless events put on by our CBA Crew, to the powerful student interns bringing fresh ideas and inspiration to our work, we are utterly thankful! They truly are the bread and butter, or "Thanksgiving meats", of our organization.
