Early Identification of Dyslexia

We are conducting this anonymous survey to see if our Early Identification and Support System project would meet community needs.
The Project

Learning Differences Aotearoa Trust are wanting to establish an evidence based early identification system for children aged 4 to 6 years.  Once a student is identified at risk of a learning difficulty, such as, dyslexia, this triggers an evidence based support network for parents, children, schools and teachers.

The idea is to have a child friendly, easy to use app for the screening. It will only identify a child at risk of a learning difficulty. All screening is done with parental consent.

The established support system will provide consistent and specialised information and support for educators, schools and for the parent and child. We want to help everyone understand and support the child from an earlier age.

If a child continues to struggle by Year 3 more specialised interventions will be need to be implemented.
