Jesus Film and Bibles

At the end of February YWAM Bad Blankenburg organised an event for refugees in the region to come and see the Jesus Film.

230 people gathered at the base to eat together and watch the Jesus Film, which was shown in Arabic, Farsi and Kurdish! Around 60 children participated in a special children's program. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and meet new people. Many of those who came had only come to the region within the last year and had not been to the base before. People enjoyed themselves and many gladly received Bibles, SD cards and children's Bibles in their own language.

Some took a Bible in secret or came back later to receive one without others knowing about it. Overall, there was great openness and peace in the room. It was literally an open heaven! Many were deeply moved when they saw Jesus die on the cross in the film. There was such a special atmosphere in the room. The Holy Spirit moved in so many of them.

The YWAM team offered follow-up conversations and a weekly women's group, for which a good number of people signed up. What a beautiful way to invest in the lives of these people!

The majority of the refugees in Germany have moved beyond the emergency state and this provides the opportunity to invest in longer term relationships of discipleship and friendship. And God is meeting them in so many ways!

Let's continue to pray that refugees in Germany would have greater revelation of who Jesus Christ is and meet Him in dreams, through events like these and personal encounters with Christians.
