Think2030 has arrived

In 2011 we introduced you to Think2030, the largest community visioning project we’ve ever undertaken to determine what your vision for the future of Subiaco was.
It’s been five years and a lot has changed, so Think2030 is back! To make sure we’re on the right track, and community aspirations are still accurate, we’re reviewing the city's Strategic Community Plan.
Get involved with the future of your city and let us know how we’ve been doing and the direction you would like the city to take over the next ten years.
Share your thoughts on things like:
  • community
  • parks, open spaces and places
  • Subiaco as a unique destination
  • the built environment
  • an effective and integrated transport system
  • council leadership
For the chance to win some great prizes and to help shape the future of your city visit the Think2030 website and complete Think2030 survey today.

Rokeby Road near completion

It’s full steam ahead on Rokeby Road. Our streetscape upgrade is nearing completion with only two weeks to go until the works are complete. New multi-use light poles have been installed, parking bays have been raised for alfresco dining and the median strip has been leveled which has seen the new-look Rokeby Road come together.

Find out what's in store for the final stage of the upgrade on our website. The new-look Rokeby will be on full display at our Christmas Night of Lights event later this month, get the lowdown on the event below.
Have your say:
North Subiaco and Subiaco Oval

If you live, work or play in North Subiaco it’s time to have your say on the future of the area. We want to know what you think of the draft North Subiaco Structure Plan, which provides a vision and planning framework for the future development of North Subiaco.
Have your say on things like land use, heritage, population, density and transport to help secure a bright future for North Subiaco as a thriving local centre for the community.

Subiaco Oval

One of the biggest changes in the area will be the relocation of football from Subiaco Oval to the new Perth Stadium in Burswood. With this in mind, we’re also seeking feedback on four potential scenarios to help gauge community interests for the future of the site.
Share your thoughts on the draft plan and Subiaco Oval by Friday 2 December on our online engagement hub Have your say Subiaco.

Remembrance Day

Together with the Subiaco RSL sub-branch, we’re honouring the brave men and women who have served our country in times of war, conflict and peace at the annual Remembrance Day service.

Seven names selected for Subiaco laneways

We've named seven laneways throughout the town centre, honouring individuals and families who have made significant contributions to our city.

The laneways were named in conjunction with the Geographic Names Committee to reinforce their place in the community. Mounted on decorative name plates, the laneways will serve as a poignant reminder of the city's beginnings and ensure a place in Subiaco's present and future.

The laneway names are:
  • Burley Lane
  • Hiddlestone Lane
  • Kannis Lane
  • Kenworthy Lane
  • Sagar Lane
  • Walmsley Lane
  • Xanthis Lane
We've recently been celebrating the newly named laneways, with the Hiddlestone, Xanthis and Kannis families joining us to unveil their new namesakes. Find out more about the seven laneways and the stories behind their names on our website.
