Subiaco’s very own amazing race, Race around Subi, is back again for 2017 on
Saturday 1 April!
 
Get ready to race at the seventh Subi Voice of Youth Race around Subi that will see participants embark on a thrilling adventure around the city. Starting and finishing at the Subi Farmers Market, teams of between two and six will hit the ground running, completing a number of challenges as they race toward the finish line.
 
With a short and long course available, a bunch of great prizes up for grabs, and free entry – everyone can get involved with Race around Subi. Registrations close on Monday 27 March.

Cycle safe

Whether you’re just getting into cycling, or gearing up for the Bike to Work Breakfast, here are our top three tips to help you stay safe on your bike.
  1. Make sure your helmet fits firmly on your head when the chin strap is fastened
     
  2. Always ride responsibly and familiarise yourself with footpath and road rules
     
  3. Before cycling at night, check your front and rear lights are working and are bright enough to ensure you’re visible
 
Creating an accessible and inclusive city

We want your help in developing our new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan to ensure an accessible and inclusive city. The plan covers things such as events, infrastructure, access to information, service delivery and more.

From the archives

We’re travelling back more than one hundred years to around 1900, when tram tracks were being laid along Rokeby Road. Look closely and you can see the new municipal chambers on the left.
