A Night at the Movies

In How to Let Go of the World and Love All The Things Climate Can't Change, Oscar-nominated director Josh Fox (Gasland) continues, in his deeply personal style, to investigate climate change. Traveling to 12 countries on 6 continents, the film acknowledges that it may be too late to stop some of the worst consequences and asks, what is it that climate change can’t destroy? Josh Fox will be here in person for Q&A following the movie.

Help us cover the movie costs

We're not charging admission to How to Let Go of the World, but that doesn't mean we have no expenses. In fact, it's costing us slightly over $1,000 to host this movie. We'll be asking for donations at the door. But it would be great to get some donations ahead of time, too. Can you give $25 now toward the expenses? Just go to our web page and scroll down to see the Donate button.

Volunteers needed for the movie

Please help us spread the word about this film event by forwarding this email to your friends. Several people are needed this coming weekend at the East End Food Co-op to hand out flyers. We will also need volunteers at the event itself to take tickets, collect donations, and usher. Please email 350pittsburgh@gmail.com and put "Volunteer" in the subject line, and we'll get back to you.

May 4-15: Break Free! global actions

Coordinated by 350.org, a  wave of peaceful mass actions will target the world’s most dangerous fossil fuel projects. The goal: To keep coal, oil and gas in the ground and accelerate the just transition to 100% renewable energy.

The actions nearest to us are in D.C. (May 15). and Philly (May 7). If Pittsburgh 350 and the Pittsburgh climate community get enough interest we will organize a bus or carpools to one of these actions.  For information about possible trips please email 350pittsburgh@gmail.com and put "Break Free" in the subject line of your message.
