Boring Head Modification
David Nelson found that it was difficult to adjust his new boring head with accuracy. He decided to modify it so that turning the adjustment dial causes positive movement of the lower portion of the head in both directions. lombard log hauler modelChris Rueby — Model Maker
Chris will be featured in the July/August issue of Live Steam & Outdoor Railroading detailing the process of building his working miniature model of a Lombard steam log hauler. Chris does all his machine work on a Sherline lathe and mill. In the accompanying photo, the working model can be seen in the foreground with its big brother at the Maine Forest and Logging Museum.
