Rotary Tables with 15/32" Through-Hole

Our industrial customers wanted a rotary table that could hold larger stock and stand up to everyday use. The through-hole on these new rotary tables is 15/32" (.469") compared to our standard rotary tables which have a 5/16" (.316") through-hole, and a Nickel-Teflon plating on the table surface gives the table a rust-resistant surface that is hard and has added lubrication qualities.

These new rotary tables are available in manual (P/N 3710), CNC-ready (P/N 3710-CNC), and full CNC (P/Ns 8711 and 8731) configurations, and include a chuck adapter (P/N 37097) that has a 3/4-16 thread for the chuck and a 5/8-24 thread for the rotary table. Read more...

MONTHLY SHOP TIP

Rotating Mill Vise Base Enhancement

Russ Cupan had some frustration trying to slide his mill vise (P/N 3551) into the rotating base (P/N 3570). He found that adding small coil springs beneath the clamps will hold the clamps in a raised position, so the vise can be slid right into the base. The springs then easily compress when the clamp screws are tightened. Read more...

Alvis Barrington

Sherline user, Alvis Barrington, was highlighted in last month's newsletter for his customized car models. We are proud to report that his '49 Studebaker Pickup won the Custom Class Best-Chassis-Detail award and the Floyd Bryant Memorial Best-of-Show award at the Metroplex Car Modelers Association Showdown 2018 in Farmers Branch, Texas.
