How will you spend your drachma?
The value of a drachma in the ancient Near East might have been roughly equivalent to a skilled worker’s daily wage. What is your daily budget? Does it include a fast food meal? A couple of lattés? A car wash? Instead of the latté, please consider donating that amount—$7.12—toward our Stretch Pledge to complete our 2016 Budget at St. James. If everyone who attends church on Sundays—averaging 150 Christians—were to contribute the value of one fast food meal each week until the end of the year, we would complete our goal! Together we will celebrate at Jesus’ banquet feast, where all are welcome.
