See the next group of Olympic Rugby 7s stars at Club 7s this weekend! The Road to Tokyo 2020 begins now!
Did you know that many of the Olympic rugby players you saw in Rio first played at Club 7s? Come out to the 2016 USA Rugby Club 7s National Championships this weekend at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, and see if you can spot the next stars of tomorrow. After all, the rugby Road to Tokyo 2020 starts this weekend!

Showcasing the best of Men's & Women's 7s in the U.S. today, the 2016 Club 7s event will take place at Dick's Sporting Goods Park - home of MLS's Colorado Rapids - on Saturday, August 13, and Sunday, August 14. 96 matches will be played in total - including 22 matches in the stadium (Saturday 5-9; Sunday 12-4)! Overall, matches will take place from 9-9 on Saturday, and 9-4 on Sunday.

Tickets start at $15, with weekend passes available for $20. That's right - two days of action-packed rugby for the low price of $20!

As rugby continues to grow in the United States, it’s critically important that we, as rugby players, coaches, and administrators, continue to show our commercial partners that there is a live audience for rugby in the USA today. And what better opportunity is there to do that than to watch championship-caliber rugby in your own backyard?

Fans in attendance can also take in the plethora of recreational and entertainment options available in the Denver area (including a beer festival Saturday at the park!), as well as purchase USA Rugby gear and championship memorabilia at the stadium! You won't find a better deal for this level of rugby, so scratch your 7s itch even more this August and get out to Dick's!

Denver Rugby 7s All Stars
The Denver 7s All Stars were branded by USA Rugby as a City based team and are tasked with finding and developing players from the western part of the US (Frontier Comp Region and near-by: Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri and South Dakota plus New Mexico & Oklahoma.
We encourage the Denver 7s All Star players to play with their clubs/colleges at the highest level possible.  If they come from clubs that do not play competitive 7s; to encourage their club to do so, or alternately join a club that does for the main 7s season (summer).
USA Rugby established the Olympic Development 7s Academy (ODA) model in late 2012 and the Elite City 7s team model in early 2014.  These teams essentially provide similar opportunities for players to develop and play at a lever higher than the club/college team model and prepare them for entry into the National team and International competition.  The Players are meant to be kept in an active training and playing environment of up to 10 months per year.  Although this is Elite and 7s focused there is a net benefit the 15s and 7s Club programs that the players are members of.
This is an opportunity for players to develop and play at a lever higher than the club/college team model and prepare them for entry into the National team.    Quality opportunities for our program allow us better market ourselves to supporters, sponsors and more players and coaches.  Our region is large and sparsely populated but takes pride in competing incredibly well with the more densely populated and better funded competition
