I. DIVERSITY OF CULTURAL EXPRESSIONS IN THE DIGITAL ERA
Together with the University of Rouen (France) and supported by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), CEST published this multimedia book in October 2016, with free online access.
The aim of this work is to help in understanding the issue of the diversity of cultural expressions in the digital age, as well as in reflecting upon the suitable measures policies towards a response to the challenges and opportunities brought up by new technologies.
With texts chosen through a call for contributions and selected videos from conferences organized by CEST and by the University of Rouen in 2015 and 2016, the work gathers theoretical studies, opinion documents, case studies, project reports and practical initiatives based on several disciplines.
Part I of the book approaches the issue of challenges and opportunities connected to digital technologies for the diversity of cultural expressions. Part II deals with the integration of technologies towards elaborating and adopting cultural policies. Part III gathers concrete initiatives and projects that integrate the digital technologies to favor diversity. Complementary texts and interviews provide additional analyses in Parts IV and V.
