Happy New Year!

I thought I would start off the year by showing you a little bit about our manufacturing facility. It has always been very important to us to keep the designing, manufacturing and production of all our tools as local as possible. To that end, we have developed our in house manufacturing facility. 100% of all machined parts are designed, engineered, and manufactured in house. This includes every part and piece in your Stabilizer, Hollowing Tools, Carving Stands, Tool handles, etc. We are proud of the fact that we have been able to do this, with lots of manufacturing going over seas. Advantages to our customer are numerous. We've had the ability to design and refine each product in small runs until it is absolutely perfect. When a customer has an old or odd lathe that they are trying to attach the Stabilizer to, we are able to quickly modify the equipment to work with their lathe. We will continue to add new tools and equipment to allow us to make products that allow you to create the amazing work that each of you are capable of.

Thanks for reading,
Trent

Here are a few pictures of some of the main machines. The GT 27 is a fast little gang tool lathe with a 12' bar feeder. It works hard most days making parts for tool handles, carving stands, and stabilizers. Anything round in our products has likely been created with this machine. The next machine is Fadal. It is a large machining center that is capable of changing to 21 different tools throughout a program and has 4 double vices so it can hold a tremendous number of pieces and speeds up the process as well as being extremely precise and heavy duty. It weighs in at about 11,000 lbs, a bit heavier than my Robust lathes. Almost every other part that is not turned, is made on this machine.

Each class has a tentative schedule, but Trent likes to work with your individual areas of interest and gear your experience around those interests. With a maximum of 4 participants, Trent can give each person the attention they need.  You can expect to learn various techniques for bowls and hollow forms as well as numerous ways to manipulate wood into the desired effect.

I continue to try and organize my workspaces to be more efficient so I don't spend as much time looking around. These little tool racks, made out of scrap 2 x 4 have worked out great for allowing all of those little things that generally sit on my bench to find a home. I have free standing versions of these, as well as versions that screw on the wall. So I guess if I had a New Years Resolution it would be to get more organized and efficient, and this is a start!

We are in the process of updating our product pages on our website. So please check back often for the latest offerings and the most up to date information on all my tools. We are going to be adding more pictures, better description, some more videos and a FAQ page.
