It has been a long time since we have put out a newsletter. It has been a really busy beginning and beyond to 2017. We have a new products website that is now online. We also have been working on a new video, as well as a lot of traveling and teaching. It doesn't look like its going to let up anytime soon - so keep an eye out for new products. We hope to see you at several symposiums the rest of this year.

We have been working hard for the past year on a new website specifically designed for my tools. My line of tools has been steadily expanding over the past 20 years and it was time to separate the art side of my business and the tool side of my business. We are really excited, as this new website has a lot more functionality, including the ability to add more pictures and videos of each product, etc. One of the highlights is the newly added Frequently Asked Questions page that should help you in making decisions about what tools are right for you as well as more information about us. We hope you will take a look.

Note: If you are a current customer of our site: this is an entirely new website so you will have to create a new account. Our old products site will be phased out in the coming months, but is still currently active.

July 21-23, 2017
September 12-14, 2017 (Right before
RMWT Symposium)
October 17-19, 2017

Each class has a tentative schedule, but Trent likes to work with your individual areas of interest and gear your experience around those interests. With a maximum of 4 participants, Trent can give each person the attention they need.  You can expect to learn various techniques for bowls and hollow forms as well as numerous ways to manipulate wood into the desired effect.

In the past couple of weeks we have been filming a new video with Larry Randolph of Turtle Egg Productions. If all goes well we will be introducing it at the AAW Symposium this June in Kansas City. Stay tuned for more details!

We are really looking forward to this years symposium in Kansas City - it is shaping up to be a busy one. I am going to be demonstrating and we will also have our tables in the trade show. We hope hope you are able to attend and visit us.

This piece is a collaborative effort with my daughter Kailee, as we have had some time to play in the shop. This particular piece represents the passing down of the knowledge of woodturning that I have to the next generation. I turned the hollow vessel, Kailee then took it and laminated paper to the surface and then we discussed the intent and design of the piece. It was then sandblasted revealing some of the undersurface of the wooden vessel while still leaving a lot of the paper intact and exposing meaningful text explaining the transition.

This piece will be part of the upcoming AAW EOG (Educational Opportunity Grant) Auction. You will be able to bid online starting today. It will conclude at the AAW Symposium in Kansas City (Saturday June 24), however you are still able to bid online during the live auction. Bid here
