You are receiving our first week's update on the progress our Stewardship Campaign is making to raise matching funds to replace the doors and windows at Woodcliff.
In our letter, and in the video some of you were fortunate enough to view for the first time on Sunday, we talked briefly on the fact that our church has a difficult time regulating heat.  A lot of that is because of the shape our windows and doors are in.  The Sunday School rooms along the south side are very hot during spring and summer months,  making it uncomfortable for children and volunteers to be there.  The Mountain Ash room can be very cold as it is north-facing and drafty.  The windows in the three offices on the sanctuary level do not open or close properly.  In the winter months, it is not uncommon for staff to need to run electric heaters to keep warm while they are working in the offices.  The front entrance is incredibly hot when the sun hits it and can lose a lot of heat in the winter months.
So we have described one of the reasons Council is undertaking this replacement project.
In addition to receiving an email each week during the campaign to keep you updated on our progress, you are invited to visit the Narthex.  There you will find hanging on the bulletin board envelopes with a dollar amount on them.  Take whichever amount feels comfortable to you.  Donating is a breeze (get it?) - cheque or cash can be placed in the envelope you selected and put in the offering plate on Sunday morning; online through our website; or email transfer to "" --use the security answer "windows".
Then, while you are visiting the Narthex, take a step south and watch while the window display updates each week to show our progress and reveal what lies beneath.
So how well did we do in our first week of our campaign?  Well, to date we have raised $1,128.00.  Our goal is to reach $50,000, and we thank each of you who have helped to make this happen. We invite you all to be a part of this work to keep our building comfortable and operating efficiently.

For those of you who missed it, here is the link to watch our campaign video that was launched on Sunday.  We promise it will make you smile!
