This Sunday, November 17, marks the end of our 2019 Stewardship Campaign. The theme for this year was 'What is your dream for Woodcliff?'. Maybe you have had a chance to see one of the videos in service in the last month, where some of our committee leadership gives ideas for dreams, or maybe you have read the 2019 stewardship letter?

At Woodcliff we love to dream big dreams, we love to dream practical dreams, we love to dream dreams so small you may not even notice them. We dream of things that cost no money but lots of time, we dream dreams that cost little time and lots of money. We dream dreams that bring people together and bring God to people. We have asked you to play a part too. Stewardship means thinking about what you can manage to give; time or talents or ideas. Thank you for your responses so far. We have shared some photos below of some of the dreams for Woodcliff caught on paper.

Our dreams for Woodcliff include you, they include you being a part of our community, cheering on dream champions. Our dreams can only become more than concepts with your support, questioning and collaborating with leadership, sharing and supporting the ways we can make Woodcliff an even stronger community of faith, striving to make a difference in the world.

Thank you to the Stewardship committee for bringing us together in thought and purpose. You are invited, by them, for M&S ice cream sundaes after church this week. You may still return pledge cards to them, via the box at the entrance to the sanctuary this week also. Thank you for participating, and for being a part of our community - brave enough to come together and dream.

ADVENTURE CAMP

Our gifts for Mission & Service provide opportunities for children to explore how they can change the world, one step at a time.

High Country United Church in Mono, Ontario, became a place of fun and laughter when it hosted the GO Project Adventure Camp for children in Grades 2 to 7. Children explored their faith and justice through unique service projects. One program involved shopping at a local grocery store and then delivering the food and diapers to the Orangeville Food Bank. Participants’ eyes were opened to what it means to need a food bank in their community.

This program is presented as a day camp experience with trained camp staff facilitating. It offers fun camp experiences, such as games, songs, crafts, small groups, delicious food, and a fun time in a safe, intentional community. It is a great way to engage the children of your congregation in what it means to be called to love our neighbours.

Thank you for your gifts for Mission & Service that provide opportunities for children to explore faith in a fun and safe environment.

If Mission & Service giving is already a regular part of your life, thank you so much! If you have not given, please join me in making Mission & Service giving a regular part of your life of faith. Loving our neighbour is at the heart of our Mission & Service.
