90 Day Tithe Challenge | Week 3
View this email in your browser
Thank you again for committing to the 90 Day Tithe Challenge. We have been praying for God to hold true to His promises in your life personally and financially as you trust Him with your Tithe.  In my own life I have seen God truly do more with the 90% than I could manage with the 100%. We hope that you find this to be the case as you trust in Him as well.

We’d love to celebrate what God shows you during this time. Share about your experience, what you're learning, or how God is blessing you by emailing

Over the next weeks we will be sending you some devotionals and encouragement to cheer you on in this journey.
GIVE IN PERSON - You can give during our Sunday morning services at Providence by dropping a tithe envelope in the black boxes located by the worship doors. Or stop by our church during office hours, Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm.

GIVE ONLINE - Click here to give through our online system! You can also give your brain one less thing to think about by scheduling recurring giving.

Tithing is a Starting Point

Read 1 Corinthians 4:1–2, Galatians 4:1–7

Tithing is giving back to God a tenth of our earnings. Tithing started as a way to honor God for the promises He fulfilled and became a law for all of God’s people.

Giving 10 percent of our income to God may sound demanding, but when we consider that everything we own belongs to God and He allows us to keep up to 90 percent, He doesn’t seem so demanding after all.

Giving is not easy. If it was, it wouldn’t take faith. As we give back 10 percent of our money to God, we must trust Him to provide and He grows our faith in the process. God has shown us so much generosity by giving us a new life in Jesus. The longer we walk with Jesus and give obediently, the more generous we become.

When we begin to see 10 percent as a starting point, the question of tithing stops being, “How much can I keep?” and becomes, “How much can I offer back to God?” Tithing is not another bill to pay, but a relationship to sustain.

Questions To Think About:

1)  Are you more generous now than before you met Jesus? Why or why not?

2)  What is one step you can take today to practice faith with your finances?

3)  If all your money belongs to God anyway, what is preventing you from giving generously back to God?
