So good you can see them twice.

Jason Leonard supporting Philippe Sella at Les Enfant de L'Ovale's Soirée Caritative in Paris. Only 225 caps between them so they thought they'd better double up for the pictures. ATLAS is proud to be helping Philippe's education work across Africa.

Notice how effortlessly Jason's evening wear blends with the decor.

How are we doing?

We get asked, quite rightly, how much we spend on admin and on charity work.

In our first year we raised £200k after event costs, and pledged £150k to projects.

Some of that gets stashed away until the projects are ready for it, so its not all paid over yet, but its committed. We hope that's OK with you.

For instance the partnership with Philippe Sella, seen here coaching in Morocco, is for £10,000 but payable over three years. This gives the project in Agadir known income so that they can plan with confidence.

Be a part of it

All we do, we do as a team. Come along and take part: on foot, on a bike, in a buggy. As a gang of predominantly ex-front row forwards we're not necessarily fleet of foot, but we're pretty unstoppable. We also tend to know where the bar is.

NEWS

Inaugural ATLAS Ireland event
Limerick and a resurgent Munster played backdrop to a meeting of old colleagues and adversaries. The Claw, Peter Clohessy, and fellow Irish superstar Shane Byrne teamed up with Jason for our first event in Ireland. Over £1,000 raised and many new friends made. Our thanks to Sabena Moylan and her family for all their support.

Brand police beware
This is what happens when you donate your old kit. Thanks to the England women, their old Sevens kit was taken to our project in India. On go the ATLAS and Delhi Hurricanes logos in complete contravention of the brand guidelines. The girls are so proud of their new strip and thank everyone for their kindness.

 ATLAS PROJECTS
ATLAS works in Europe, Africa and Asia, supporting projects worldwide. Some are highlighted below. For more info on current projects please see our Projects Page

the present...

Here are kids who live in the Abidjan shanty town of "Biafra" - so named because the residents were originally refugees from that terrible war and famine - playing rugby on their current "pitch".

... the future

Here is the school and pitch that ATLAS has pledged to build in partnership with Philippe Sella. His charity has raised €100,000 and persuaded the government to build a pitch and donate land for the school. ATLAS has pledged to raise the rest. If you want to help please join the golf or the trek, or contact us directly here
In February Jason is visiting the Madadendi primary school in a township near Newcastle in South Africa to see our project championed by ex-Springbok Thinus Delport. The wonderful children raised much of the money they need for a sports pitch themselves through a musical tour. See our Facebook page for videos of their tour.
 ATLAS PERSONAL FUNDS
For happy reasons and sad, ATLAS creates personal funds for people who want to raise money for a particular cause. Contact us if you would like to set up a fund or a dedicated project for your family, club or in memory of a special person.

Ed Cooper Memorial Fund

In memory of their much loved son Ed, the Cooper family have set up this memorial fund. Ed toured South Africa with his school rugby team and used his own money to buy rugby jerseys for kids in the township that they visited. Ed's family will honour the spirit of their son through this memorial fund.

Aya Sponsorship Fund

While on tour in South Africa the Richmond Heavies and 1st XV team learned that a talented rugby player lived in very difficult circumstances and attended a school whose teachers frequently failed to turn up. He wanted to do well at school and on the rugby field, and they resolved to give this young man an academic and sporting future by sponsoring his education at a well run school in his area.
