 ABOUT ATLAS
ATLAS funds UK and overseas development projects, providing pitches, coaches and teachers for the poorest communities in the world.

ATLAS monitors its projects through a network of Rugby Champions, celebrated international rugby players, including multiple world cup winners and “centurions” with over 100 international caps.

These men and women identify, champion and police our projects to ensure that every penny reaches those that need it most.
 ATLAS PROJECTS
ATLAS now works in Europe, Africa and Asia, supporting nearly a dozen projects worldwide. Some are highlighted below. For more info on current projects please see our Projects Page
In partnership with Rugby Champion Philippe Sella, ATLAS is proud to support the training of 100 teachers from across Africa. The teacher training is delivered by Philippe's charity Les Enfants de L'Ovale in a dedicated centre in Morocco.
England's former Captain and ATLAS Champion, Catherine Spencer, helps empower women and girls in Zimbabwe. ATLAS is supporting the Tag Rugby Trust to inspire girls to play sport, establish strong team bonds and the confidence to take on additional teaching, specifically in sexual health and careers guidance. They share this back in their communities which reduces teenage pregnancy, HIV and school drop outs, and increases the number of girls winning better jobs.
The Delhi Hurricanes schools project, championed by Pepsii Dagar has brought children into school and into contact with a supportive 'family' through rugby. This project is wholly funded through the generosity of Sliders-UK, with kit donated by the RFU, Leicester Tigers and a range of individuals and clubs in the UK.
The wonderful children of the Magadendi township in South Africa who, through Project Zulu, and our Rugby Champion Thinus Delport, have secured ATLAS support for a sports field. Lets hope their sporting talent matches their musical talent which is extraordinary. See our Facebook page for videos of a recent concert.
 ATLAS PERSONAL FUNDS
For happy reasons and sad, ATLAS creates personal funds for people who want to raise money for a particular cause. Contact us if you would like to set up a fund or a dedicated project for your family, club or in memory of a special person.

Ed Cooper Memorial Fund

In memory of their much loved son Ed, the Cooper family have set up this memorial fund. Ed toured South Africa with his school rugby team and used his own money to buy rugby jerseys for kids in the township that they visited. Ed's family will honour the spirit of their son through this memorial fund.

Aya Sponsorship Fund

While on tour in South Africa the Richmond Heavies and 1st XV team learned that a talented rugby player lived in very difficult circumstances and attended a school whose teachers frequently failed to turn up. He wanted to do well at school and on the rugby field, and they resolved to give this young man an academic and sporting future by sponsoring his education at a well run school in his area.

The ATLAS Foundation was founded by Jason Leonard and other rugby and corporate heavyweights to bring support to people around the world through the power of the game.

The ATLAS Foundation is a UK Registered Charity No 1161179
