A new beginning for Anne

A new beginning for Anne

Ann who has worked four years with the association has decided not to renew her work contract in order to start new projects.
Ann's contracts ends 31 March 2017.
Each member of the association family greatfully thanks Anne for her work welcoming the travellers and helping them either in France either in India.
We wish her a successful future!

The association continues to help the travellers who wish to come and experience a different way of life and all the association’s family is present for you who wishes to slow down.

The association gives priority for slowing down, like enjoying traditional meals at "The Master Art Café", daily meditation sessions, moments spent at our textile workshop, Ayurverdic treatments with our local doctor, individual meetings with Sophie and Jude, time shared within the Indian families that we help.

You are more than welcome.

Bloom’s family is transforming

Bloom’s family is transforming

As we announced you in our latest newsletter Vinisha get married and went to live with her husband’s family following the Indian tradition.
From now, she lives four hours away from Cochin so it is impossible for her to work in Bloom's workshop despite she terribly misses it!

The members of the team are settling according to this new situation and the workshop continues to make superb creations with Love.

Seena arrived in the workshop and she is looking after the cleaning and the maintenance of the workshop.

During this season, Bloom 's creations were really successful and our fairy sewers made happy the travellers.

We really congratulate them for their talents, their patience and their love to realise Hand Made articles where the heart has an important place.

Brigit

Brigit

The association continues to help Brigit and her family because Brigit is a widow with two children and she has a lot of courage to face her life.
She needs support specially to pay the school fees for her children, and in her daily life. The association is very happy to help this family on a monthly basis in order to give this family a start up on their living path.

Usha and Vinu

Usha and Vinu

We are following Usha and Vinu who have been helped to build their house. This time we gave them a donation to build toilets and a shower, to fix a shelf in the kitchen and lay a lino on the house's floors. That is going to change their life.
Some people gave them a bed, bedlinen, kitchen utensils to ameliorate their daily life because they have hardly nothing.
Thanks to everybody for this beautiful participation and especially to Meena and her team for their social dedication.

Sharing in Tranquebar

Sharing in Tranquebar

This time it is with Cecile, Isabelle, Marie-Christine and Surya that we shared the experience of silence in Tranquebar and we shared some moments of life with the villagers.
We were delighted to found that all the people we helped last month were much better and found again happiness and also, they were less in pain.
Jude has received several families, they asked especially help for food and for school's fees.
The association takes in charge the school's fees of Indra's three daughters and also the medical care of a woman villager, and continues food parcels for several families.
These were very touching meetings and very rich in communication.

Pearls are linking us

Pearls are linking us

A moment of joy with the making of pearls bracelets with all sorts of mixed pearls.
Surya was straight away very enthusiastic about this workshop and he was very keen to share with the children his passion for making jewellery.
The school teacher Menaga, the children aged between four and ten, Surya, Sophie, Marie-Christine, Isabelle and Cecile are sitting on a mat making in a circle.
If the pearls are shining with the light coming through the class's window, the eyes of the children are shining also like the pearls. They quickly made lovely bracelets and we were so happy to see each child putting around their wrist the bracelet they have made themselves!
Even some returned home with two and three bracelets around their wrist!!!
Before leaving each of them received a wooden spinning top that Marie-Christine gave them.
Straight away they make it turned in their hands with fun.

Visit to the families of the school's children

Visit to the families of the school's children

Menaga suggested to take us to visit the families of the school's children and it was a superb and rich experience.
In fact, parents never visit school, children are going to school because they can have a free lunch, children always arrive at school with an empty stomach and this meal is more than welcomed!!!
So, we went to the tsunami camp where they have been relocated after the tsunami.
We walked between the school and their houses in order to realise properly the important distance they have to cover, not easy at all for little ones aged of four who have to walk along a busy road!!!!
As soon as we arrived the children welcomed us, running towards us screaming with joy, for them it was totally unexpected to see us visiting their homes and families. They were so happy to introduce us to their parents.
Their life conditions are absolutely disastrous, housing is more than precarious, men do not have work and drink in the evenings, there is a lot of violence and hardly no food!!!!
I have been very touched by this moment, that linked me more with these children that I love dearly and I am so happy to bring them a little happiness.
