Building on Success
Morgan Stanley and Kirkland & Ellis Expand Internship Programs
Thanks to our 200 business partners who hire our interns, more than 400 New York City high school students will have the opportunity to get firsthand work experience and career-readiness training through Futures and Options this year. After partnering with Futures and Options Internship Program for several years, this fall, Morgan Stanley and Kirkland & Ellis will expand their successful program models to add more internship opportunities for Futures and Options students.
Morgan Stanley has long been a partner and supporter of Futures and Options Internship Program. After Futures and Options and Morgan Stanley successfully collaborated through the Morgan Stanley Strategy Challenge in 2013, Alex Gialanella, executive director at Morgan Stanley and professor of Economics and Finance at Fordham University, championed a Morgan Stanley Finance Division Internship Program for high school students.

Gialanella believed Futures and Options aligns closely with Morgan Stanley's core principle: "do first class business in a first class way," and Morgan Stanley could give underserved students the opportunity to learn more about the world of finance and the day-to-day work in a corporate setting.

Building upon it successful past experiences with Futures and Options, Kirkland & Ellis is expanding the number of interns it hires and working with Futures and Options Business Engagement Manager Corey Ogilby to develop a more robust program for the students. This fall, one intern will work in each of four new departments: Accounting and Billing, Alumni Engagement, Attorney Recruiting and Business Development.

Each semester Futures and Options organizes career exploration field trips for the students involved in Futures and Options flagship programs, Career Essentials and the Internship Program. These field trips are an important program component as they give students a chance to see a broad range of industry sectors and meet the professionals in these fields.

We are excited about the field trips planned for this fall. Check out where we’re headed by clicking the button below.
