"Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:1-2

Welcome to September! Welcome to a new church season.

The church year will soon be in full swing , beginning with our Celebration Sunday. On September 15, 2019 we will be kicking off the church season with a newly refurbished Sunday School, complete with a face painter, arts & crafts, and make your own ice cream sundaes. The choir will be back and Faith Pistrang will once again provide us with her very wonderful music. You just can't miss being part of this fabulous community. We have such a list of new and wonderful events being planned for September and October: The Blessing of the Animals, the Elizabeth Von Trapp concert, our Wednesday Evening worship service (there will be supper before the service), The Malcolm Halliday concert and our road trip to Pickety Place. Also Bible study will resume at is normal day and time, Tuesday at 4pm.

Please join us as often as you are able. First Church, Princeton is a special place, full of special people. Why not come and join us! Why should you go to church, you may ask?? Because being part of a church community is rich and sustaining. Because people who attend church generally live longer, healthier lives. Because church is most often the place where we are reminded of the fact that God is alive and working and loving us, no matter what. Because a loving community, steeped in faith will stand with you----- in good times and in bad. Come and be part of the spirit of First Church, Princeton.

If you know of anybody who is interested in learning more about this spirit-filled community or has questions about membership please contact Rev Janet Sandquist-Skagerlind at 978-350-3463

As we enter our new church season, let us embrace it with a renewed enthusiasm for, God, Christ and Church. God is alive and working here.

Autumn Blessings

We understand that getting to church on Sunday mornings can be difficult for some families. And for some people, having a mid-week time of worship and fellowship is just what is needed to uplift us as we travel life's road. We understand! So, beginning this September 18, 2019 at 5:30 we will be offering a time to get together, share good food and enjoy a shorten worship service. We will gather in Fellowship Hall around 5:30 for dinner. If you are able to bring a dish to share that would be great, but if you are unable to bring anything but yourself, you are more than welcome. Following the meal we will gather in the Sanctuary for a 30 minute worship service. We will be offering this time of worship and fellowship the 3rd Wednesday of every month. We hope to see you there. Come and be part of the Spirit!

For Elisabeth von Trapp, the sounds of music are part of her earliest memories. Born and raised in Vermont, Elisabeth is the granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired The Sound of Music. Singing professionally since childhood, Elisabeth has enthralled audiences from European cathedrals to Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center.
She will perform at the First Congregational Church of Princeton on September 27, 2019 at 7 pm.

There is no admission charged, but a free-will offering will be taken.

Everyone is invited. Let your friends and neighbors know. Elisabeth is a fabulous performer and everyone will enjoy the evening.

Starting September 2 the Church Office hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 9 - 1. You can leave messages for the office on voicemail, email, or in the holder outside the Office. If you need a response, John will reach you as soon as he can.
